Opis:
The Loowit Loop trail is a beautiful 32 mile, well marked trail that circumnavigates Mount St. Helens (Loowit). We initially planned to complete the loop in just two hiking days, but because there was a full moon rising when we arrived at the June Lake Trailhead, we hiked as far as we could in the dark the first day. Day two was a long haul, 22 miles clockwise through the Research Zone to the Plains of Abraham, where we camped. The final day was 9 miles back to the June Lake Trailhead.
