Opis:
Black Peak is a wonderful scramble on the eastern border of the North Cascades National Park. We hiked early September, when there was no snow on the way to the summit.

Along the way, we camped at Lewis Lake, only about 4 miles from the trailhead, and after summiting we camped at Wing Lake, just below Black Peak. On the hike out, we continued counter clockwise along Heather Maple Pass Loop Trail, which brought the trip totals to just over 15 miles and 6000’ feet of elevation gain.
