Puerto Vallarta is not exactly known for trail running. But just 25 kms to the South lies a quaint fishing village called Boca de Tomatlan. From there begins a 9 km coastal trail which passes by the popular boat-access-only Playa Las Animas on the way to Quimixto, and on to Quimixto Falls.
