Opis: In 1983 Erik Tanghe and Peter Gerard climbed the northface (nordwand) of the Westliche Zinne (Cima Ovest di Lavaredo) in the Italian Dolomites. They chose the most direct route which led them through a gigantic overhang of 50 meters. This Riesendach (giant roof) is called the biggest overhang in the world and has lately been in the picture cause of new routes like Bellavista and Panorama opened by Alex Huber. In 1983 the climbing scene was all different and the overhang had only been climbed 6 times.. A historical document in time filmed on 8 mm by Erik Tanghe.
