At last our time in Peru was coming to an end and we needed to get out of the country before our visas expired. The plan was to catch a night bus to Cuenca, Ecuador but this Peru Ecuador border crossing had different plans for us. Turns out it was a blessing in surprise but this goes down in the history of one of our least favorite border crossing experiences.
