Wenn man vom Bodensee nach Süden schaut, springt einem der Säntis immer ins Auge mit seinem hohen Funkturm. Das Alpstein-Gebirge ist dominant und interessant. Von Unterwasser (Parkplatz Laui) aus gibt es eine schöne Überschreitung: Hinauf zum Rotsteinpass, über den Lysengrat zum (hässlichen) Gipfel und nördlich üb er Tierwies zurück.
