Začnemo pri Rifugio Auronzo na 2320 m, sledimo makadamski cesti sv. 101 do Forcella Lavaredo na 2454 m, tu namesto spusta po isti se držimo v višini po poti, ki sledi vznožju Paternkogla do Rifugio Locatelli na 2405 m.
