Mnoga mesta v Dolomitih še ohranjajo divji značaj in so skoraj nedotaknjena s strani številnih turistov. Prvi razlog je, da do teh bolj samotnih mest prideš s trudom, znojenjem in bolečimi mišicami. Eno takih je divja dolina Ciastlins, ki se začne pri San Vigilio di Marebbe (Al Plan de Mareo v ladinščini).
