Die Griesner-Alm (auf ca 1024m) am Ende der Mautstraße ist Ausgangspunkt für zahlreiche Wanderungen ins Kaisergebirge. Die berühmteste dieser Wanderungen ist wohl der Aufstieg zum Stripsenjoch, die Verbindung von Wildem zum Zahmen Kaiser.
