Opis:
This adventure was a long ski version of the Decalibron. I started at the foot of Mount Bross on its southeast flank in the snow filled Dolly Varden Gully allowing me to have an A/T skiing leg of the journey up and down the gully from the summit of Bross. While that leg was quite efficient, it did make the summiting of the 4 Peaks, Mount Bross, Mount Cameron, Mount Lincoln & Mount Democrat, crossing Cameron and Bross 2X each, for quite a long excursion. Doing the standard route would have been considerably easier but, I wanted one last ski adventure for the year and 14er.com conditions reports of the gully confirmed good snow cover. . . If one uses the Standard Kite Lake TH & route as shown on 14ers.com, this high peak mountain tour packs lots of bang for the buck/effort! Democrat and Lincoln were especially beautiful! I believe it is the shortest non technical route in Colorado to hit 4 X 14,000ft summits. Breckenridge Colorado.
