Every competition requires preparation. The tougher the competition, the harder the training. For Paul Guschlbauer it’s even more delicate, as training time has to be in balance with his family life. To prepare for Red Bull X-Alps Paul likes to involve his favourite activities in his training such as bike rides to improve endurance, trailrunning to enhance balance, and of course a lot of hiking and flying. And the right nutrition is of course crucial for the performance as well, as the athletes need to replenish the calories spent in the race in a fast and efficient way. Because after all that’s how you make sure to be the best version of yourself: by staying fit, eating healthy and sleeping well!
