Opis:
The tradition of wild hay making ('wild heuen') by alpine farmers on the steep flanks of Rophaien continues today. The path through their territory is called 'Wildheupfad' ( wild grass cutters' path) and offers stunning views of Lake of Lucerne (or 'Lake Uri', as this part of the big lake is called) and the mountains on the other side of the valley. We walked from Eggberge over Franzenalp to Ober Axen. The hike takes less than 3 hours, while stopping to take in the view takes another 1-2 hours.
