My buddy The Instigator (aka Nathan Resing) was in The Valley for the first time and wanted to climb some wide after cruising some crack and struggling on Tuolomne slab. We headed up Mental Block 5.10c for a fun wide experience with our friend Southern boy (aka Andrew Hancox). The first two pitches were pretty chill 5.10- fingers to hands, but pitches 3 and up featured splitter wide cracks from 4-7'. I ran into a bat on the last pitch and had to down aid in order to get down. A hilarious adventure in The Valley.
