AUFSTIEG: Von Grund den Wanderweg oder die Forststraße zur Filzmoosalm, 1.710 m hochsteigen. An der Almhütte vorbei geht es durch einen schütteren Lärchen- und Zirbenwald auf ein kleines Plateau. In gerader Linie geht es zum Bergrücken links des Gipfels. Über einen mäßig geneigten Gipfelgrat erreicht man schlussendlich das Gipfelkreuz des Filzmooshörndls, 2.189 m (ca. 2 h).
