I can't imagine a better FIRST RACE than the NEW YORK CITY MARATHON! As someone who primarily runs on trails, I didn't know what to expect from a road marathon, but the people of New York City came out in force to pump up everyone running the race! The folks in Brooklyn set the bar high, but all 5 boroughs were incredible! I feel super grateful to get to experience such amazing energy in a place that holds so much significance for me—some of my favorite bands sing about the streets I was running on! I think I finally get the hype, and this probably won't be my last marathon!
