My first attempt at a DIY MYOG build of an ultralight backpack which resulted in this DIY IKEA backpack made from the iconic IKEA Frakta bags.

The DIY ultralight backpack stripped in its barebones form weighs a respectable 380g. I'm using corrugated plastic (brand name Correx) for the frame instead of Z Lite or similar CCF mat which weighs an additional 200g for both pieces. The removable hip belt pockets are a further 30g a piece. The total weight for the backpack is 640g.
