Aurélien can also look back on several successes as a professional competition freerider. Highlights include first place in Courmayeur and second place in the 2013 World Championships. But the competition itself is not so important for Aurélien. “At the end of the day, it doesn’t matter if you’ve won or not,” he says. “For me, it’s not about being rich or famous, but about spending the entire year in the mountains and living my life.” And that’s exactly what he does to the fullest.
