Lots of Swedish in this one - click subtitles for English!

You have probably seen countless films about skiers riding snowmobiles, snowcats and helicopters to access freeride lines and untracked powder, far from ski resorts or deep into the backcountry where no roads go. Well, so had we, and decided to do it differently this time. Enter Nicklas Blom from Riverlodge Huskys, the Åre-based photographer-turned-dogsled operator, who rounded up 20 of his trusty four-legged companions and shuttled our crew far into the Jämtland wilderness. The final destination was Almdalen, a secluded valley deep in the woods famous for defending the Swedish snow-depth record most winters. This year was no exception, and despite the challenging weather forecast and several weeks leading up to the trip marked by high winds and rain, we still found what we were looking for. Join Jacob, Lovisa and David as they explore this little nook of the country and find playful treeskiing, steep couloirs and good times around the campfire!
