Opis:
The larches are everywhere on this trail through Glacier Peak Wilderness. In early October, we braved the cold and spent the night at Ice Lakes.

These Alpine lakes can be accessed a couple different ways. We started at the Phelps Creek Trailhead, which is about 3 hours from Seattle. We climbed up the Carne Mountain Trail, along the High Route, up to Freeze Pass, and down to the upper Ice Lake, where we camped. The next day, we continued down to Leroy Basin, and finally out on the Phelps Creek Trail.
