Modrice so povsod na tej poti skozi Glacier Peak Wilderness. V začetku oktobra smo kljub mrazu prenočili pri Ice Lakes.

To alpino jezero je mogoče doseči na več načinov. Začeli smo pri Phelps Creek Trailhead, približno 3 ure od Seattla. Povzpeti smo se po Carne Mountain Trail, vzdolž High Route do Freeze Pass in navzdol do zgornjega Ice Lake, kjer smo kampirali. Naslednji dan smo nadaljevali navzdol do Leroy Basin in nazadnje ven po Phelps Creek Trail.
