Opis:
Spring Beauty (Claytonia virginica) is a beautiful pink five petaled flower that can occur in abundance in early spring. It is one of the first of the flowering spring ephemerals. One can identify by the 5 petaled pink flowers with very defined pink venation, drropping buds and a pair of grass-like leaves that bloom only in early spring. The plant has a potato-like tuber that was harvest and eaten by indigenous peoples. My nature education channel is dedicate to engaging people in learning outdoors and getting to know plants and animals around them.
