A window on nature series taking a bite-sized, memorable look at the world around us. This video looks at the world of grasses and their allies. Grasses and the grass-like sedges and rushes can be hard to tell apart. This video looks at the main characteristics of these closely related plants and illustrates how we can distinguish them from each other. A well used rhyme can assist with this. Sedges have edges, rushes are round and grasses have knees right down to the ground.
