First weekend back in the valley and we headed to the Rostrum formation for this out of the way MEGA classic. First put up in 1975 by the legendary Ron Kauk and John Yablonski, this climb stands the test of time. I was fortunate to send it first go without having any previous beta. I say “flash” instead of “onsight” because I lost Rock- paper-scissors and thus, my partner got the first burn. He was unable to pull past the entry moves his first attempt. I then went and sent. That off width section up high sure gave me a run for my money.
