Salewa’s athlete family keeps growing. Meet Federica Mingolla, 26 years old, born in Turin and living between the mountains of Introd. Federica’s career began with climbing and climbing competitions, in which she excelled. But she also wanted to go back to the mountains and broaden her horizons. And she kept excelling. That’s how Federica became an all-around mountaineer, a person who loves to move between different sports and contaminate them, reinventing and shaping their future. For her climbing means dancing, pursuing a series of spontaneous moves, following a rhythm written in the rock and in her head. A dance made of balance and of joy. “I discovered climbing as a kid, thanks to my dad”, tells Federica. “At the age of 14, I started attending a sport climbing course at a gym near home where my sister was already training. I never stopped”. Federica is also an accomplished skier, an avid mountaineer, and she has quite some fun flying her paraglider every time she can use it to avoid hiking down.
