Opis:
Despite clear skies, beautiful weather, and perfect conditions for such a big tour (24km return with 1300m of vertical) I barely made it to the base of Rudoka after crossing the vast and Antarctic-like plateau above Brod. Due to overtraining the preceding week, a faulty avalanche transceiver, very weak legs, and eyes stinging from the sun, I decided to turn around and head back alone. The other two in the group got to within 100m of the summit before turning around as a freak micro-storm hit them on the summit ridge and darkness approached. This is one long ski tour that requires a very early start.
