Der Kandel-Gipfel ist einer der leichtesten zu erreichenden Aussichtsberge im Schwarzwald. Oberhalb von Waldkirch zeigt sich der Gipfel auf 1242m Höhe.
Unterhalb des Gipfels führt eine beliebte Ausflugsstraße vorbei. Man kann Rast in einem Gasthaus machen und den Drachengleitern und Paragleitern zuschauen, die hier einen Startplatz haben.
