Die in alten Karten und Dokumenten mit Teufelsgraben oder Cholersbachgraben bezeichnete Schlucht wird seit 1955 auf der Landeskarte der Schweiz mit dem ortsüblichen Mundartbegriff Tüfelsschlucht geführt.
