Opis:
During a weekend in September we set out to summit Mount Moran via the CMC route. We decided to paddle board to the foot of the mountain, something I was less than comfortable with. My fear of water can not be overestimated. After surviving my encounter with the dark, cold water of Lake Leigh we set off on foot 6,000ft up the mountain to the sold rock face of the CMC route. It was there that we confronted the rope or no rope dilemma. Also, yes life vests would have been nice. You’d think an aquaphobic such as myself would have worn two or three at the same time. Unfortunately that large rock face loomed large in our minds and pretty much blocked out everything else.
