Opis:
The Leistchamm is a mountain of the Appenzell Alps, part of the Churfirsten range. The mountain not only boasts impressive views down steep rock walls to Lake Walen below and across to the Glarus und St.Gallen mountains, it's also close enough from Zurich and easily climbed in only 2 1/2 hours that it attracts crowds of hikers on good weather days, especially on weekends. You can expect quite an assembly on top, but the mountain is also wide enough that everybody will find a place to sit at the abyss. We met serious hikers as well as groups of friends in sneakers (ouch...!) who were hanging out and drinking beers.
