Climbing from Quinten up to Gocht and continuing on to Arvenbüel (2021/09/13)

Opis:
7 hour hike with amazing views. This monster hike with a total of 1,923 height meters to climb, from Lake Walen all the way to the top Gocht, a mountain pass in the Churfirsten range, and 1,077 to descend takes a lot of stamina. A LOT. I stopped often to enjoy the scenery. And, let's face it, to catch my breath. Also, if you have vertigo, the last part from Säls up to Gocht is not for you. The views are breathtaking, and might literally be breathtaking in the worst sense of the word if you have vertigo... I read up on this hike beforehand and started up the white-blue-white marked alpine path 'Gochtweg' apprehensively, wary of rock falls caused by ibex or vertigo attacks caused by the ground falling away on the left, but luckily, I was fine on both counts. I kept my eyes on my feet to make sure I didn't stumble, because this is not the place to stumble and fall. All in all, this is my most spectacular hike this year!
