Durante la Grande Guerra il sentiero dei Kaiserjäger rappresentava la via di comunicazione tra il fondovalle e le postazioni austriache in quota sul Lagazuoi, attraverso il quale avveniva il trasporto di viveri, munizioni e materiale.
