84-year-old Captain Bob Shepton might be familiar from the Wild Bunch films, in which he skippered his 33ft yacht Dodo’s Delight on sailing and climbing trips with Nico Favresse and his motley crew. Bob has led a varied and interesting life, as a reverend, outdoor instructor, Piolet d’Or winner and Yachtsman of the Year award winner. In 2017, Captain Bob sailed to the remote Scottish island of St Kilda on a new-routing trip with Dave MacLeod and Natalie Berry. A film featuring the trip ‘Undiscovered’ premiered at Kendal Mountain Festival.
