Bei noch recht bescheidenem Wetter beginnen wir den Aufstieg auf den Säuling. Da auch am Säulinghaus noch Wolken am Gipfel zu sehen sind, entscheiden wir uns in Hoffung auf eine spätere Wetterbesserung für den längeren Gipfelzustieg, welcher uns um den Pilgerschrofen herum führt.
