Der Natursee inmitten des Pflanzenschutzgebietes Hochtannberg im Gemeindegebiet von Schröcken ist in beliebtes Ausflugsziel und wurde in der ORF-Sendung '9 Plätze, 9 Schätze' zum schönsten Platz Österreichs gekürt.
