Seven days of speed - climbing the seven summits of the alps in one week.

They've christened it X7 -- seven countries, seven peaks in the fastest time possible by fair means, in other words taking on ascent and descent using muscle power only. Their specific goal is to climb the highest mountain in each of the Alpine countries within seven days by bike, on foot and on skis, each time going from the valley upward. The one-day tours for each peak will pose a real tough challenge for the intrepid athletes. On the week's menu for the speed ski mountaineers was a total of 18,000 vertical metres going up and 180 kilometres on the flat.
