The Seattle Great Wheel was built in 2012. Standing 175 feet (53 meters) tall, it has 42 gondolas. The ride is 12 minutes long for three revolutions. The Ferris wheel was constructed by Great Western Pacific at a cost of $20 million to build. It is located at Pier 57 on Elliott Bay in Seattle, Washington. There are views of the Pike Place Market, the Seattle Aquarium, the Space Needle, Century Link Field (home of the Seattle Seahawks), the Port Of Seattle, Puget Sound, and the Seattle skyline.
