Lacco Ameno ha una superficie di 2,7 Kmq con una popolazione di circa 4500 abitanti. L'altitudine va da metri 0 sul livello del mare ai 300 della contrada Fango. Il comune di Lacco Ameno occupa la parte nord-occidentale dell'isola e si estende lungo il mare e sulle prime pendici dell'Epomeo.
