Allerona TR, antico borgo di origine antichissima, è pittorescamente situato in collina a 472 s.l.m. Uno dei 'Borghi più belli d'Italia'
L’insediamento, probabilmente etrusco, di Lerona era posto sul tracciato dell’antica strada Roma-Chiusi: la Cassia prima, la Traiana dopo. Della strada romana sono rimasti tratti di selciato e due colonne miliari.
